Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to Himachal (Chandigarh to Dharamsala)

Begin your sojourn to the wonderful Himachal Pradesh by gathering at the designated point in Chandigarh and driving to Dharamsala.

On reaching the hotel, relax and enjoy the evening at leisure. If you wish, you could wander around the town on your own to buy Buddhist handicrafts and taste local delicacies like momos and thukpa.

Thereafter, head back to the hotel to doze off.

Day 2 - Dharamsala Charms (Sightseeing in Dharamsala)

Located in the Kangra Valley, Dharamsala holds immense religious importance as it is where the Dalai Lama lives. As a result, the town has many Buddhist monasteries and temples, where you can see colorful thangkas and statues.

After waking up, head out on a sightseeing tour of this exciting town.

On the excursion, visit numerous museums, monasteries, and temples to learn about Buddhism and the Tibetan culture. Another place you see today is St John in the Wilderness Church. This neo-Gothic shrine stands in a deodar forest, which will give you immense peace.

Dal Lake, just 8 km from the town, is also on the list of the sites to be visited as part of the tour. Just sit or stroll in the cedar forest all around. Alternatively, you can also go for boating.

You will also explore the Tibetan Medical and Astrological Museum, where an herbarium with a collection of medicinal plants is of interest. Other things worth seeing here are paintings, related to medicine, and a collection of woods, salts, rocks and precious gems.

Thereafter, retreat to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Following an awesome day, head back to the hotel to doze off.

Day 3 - Bye Bye, Dalhousie (Dalhousie to Chandigarh)

After waking up, pack your bags and bid adieu to this wonderful destination; it is time to head back to Chandigarh.
