Ajmer is popular for antiques, colognes, silver jewellery, Rajasthani crafts, bandhani dupattas and Jodhpuri shoes. An exploration tour of the city is a good idea as it has a distinct cultural and historical charm. The authentic Rajasthani food joints in the city offer delectable local dishes.

Day 2 - Sightseeing in Ajmer

Today visit the Dargah of Khwaja Saheb, dedicated to the Sufi saint, Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. It is said that those, who pray here with pure faith and loyalty, find true happiness. Pilgrims also come to this dargah to seek the blessing of Khwaja Baba to fulfil their wishes.

Post the visit to the dargah, head to Akbar's Palace, which was built in AD 1570. This royal palace served as a pleasure retreat to Akbar when he came on administrative visits to Ajmer. The proficient sculpting of stone and ornate rooms of the palace bear the influence of the Mughal architecture. This palace also has a Government museum, housing a collection of old weapons, rock inscriptions, stone sculptures, and miniature paintings dating back to the 8th century.

Later in the evening, explore the serene Ana Sagar Lake where the striking sunset enchants visitors. Bordered by pavilions and vibrant gardens, this lake is an ideal spot for a photo shoot.
