Itinerary

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival

Arrive at Paro International Airport and Drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.You can visit the Traditional Arts, Crafts Museum and the National Library of Bhutan.

Day 2 - Thimphu City Tour

Today proceed on a sightseeing tour of the capital city. Visit the National Memorial Chorten, Thimphu Dzong, Kuensel Phodrang Nature Park, Tango Monastery, Arts and Crafts School & the Folk Heritage Museum along with the National Library and the Paper Making Factory. Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 3 - Excursion to Paro

After a hearty breakfast, proceed to Paro. A 2-hour ride, here you get to see the auspicious Kyichu Lhakhang, which is a sacred monument that was built in 659 A.D by the Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo. Also, headover to Paro Dzong, that's also known as the Rinpung Dzong. It is an extravagant monastery and now functions as the local administrative center and as a school for monks. Overnight in Paro.

Day 4 - Tiger's Nest Trek

Today we will hike till the Tigers Nest Monastery. Located on a cliff about 900 meters above the Paro Valley, this trek shall take 2 hours. Admire the serene beauty around and get lost in the mesmeric milieu. The climb to the viewpoint will take around 1 and a half hours, and from there one can admire the fantastic view of the monastery that's hinged at the side of the cliff. Halt for refreshment at the View Point Cafeteria and then resume your walk further up to the monastery, that'll take another hour.

Day 5 - Departure

This day marks the culmination of the trip. Get transferred to the port of your departure.
